April Wimble of Richland helps Garrett Larson, 10, with fractions as Adrian Stephenson, 9, studies spelling words Wednesday at Lewis & Clark Elementary School in Richland. Wimble and other members of the Salvation Army volunteer to help students with homework after school. The Salvation Army runs eight homework centers at elementary schools in the Tri-Cities.

Homework Centers

Our Homework Centers are offered Monday-Thursday for at least one hour to 1 1/2 hours each day. Our Homework Centers operate through the school year. Help children take off to a great start of success.

HOMEWORK CENTERS NEED YOU! Our Homework Centers are staffed by people of all ages who are committed to helping children achieve success within education, self-esteem, & life. Since this program is funded through the United Way and other community donations, we need more committed people to volunteer their time in our Homework Centers to make each site a success. Help a child achieve success—become a Homework Center Facilitator today!
